Herpes Treatment- How much Approachable to Patients?
Today, I am going to tell you about my experience with new herpes cure 2016. One day on just a casual talk I got to know that one of my closest friend who himself was a doctor, was a herpes victim. He told me that soon after being diagnosed he felt shameful and embarrassed, and also he was afraid of telling anyone he had it. He felt guilty about it and was full of self-blame thinking that they “brought it on him”. He was about to go into a depression and started suffering from low self-esteem, wondering if anyone will want to date him or be sexual with him again. He started feeling ashamed of facing the world and just detached and started considering him as abnormal until he checked the statistics.
Statistics of Herpes in US
He told me that almost one of five people in US has herpes. Then he started feeling that he was also part of the crowd and it was nowhere his fault if he got the virus. This made me curious about how common the disease was. Not only this, the rate with which the virus is spreading, no territory can stop it from making the entire world its carrier. “Being a doctor yourself, you could have easily chosen the right thing for your disease” this was my next statement. But the answer left me even more worried. He told me that there is no herpes cure to eliminate the virus permanently till now. As the seriousness of the disease increased my interest we decided to meet one more friend who was doing a research on sexually transmitted diseases for almost 10 years now. So, we all started waiting for new herpes cure 2016, holistic and permanent.
Moving on towards his lab, he told some of the astonishing facts about herpes and the virus causing it. He told me about the percentage of herpes in US. Can you guess how much it was?
Let me tell you that nearly one in five people over age 12 in the U.S. is affected by herpes.
About 56% of adults in the US between the ages of 14 and 49 display evidence of an HSV 1 infection when their blood is tested for HSV 1 antibodies.
And in case you want to know more, in a recent poll about relationships, genital herpes was ranked the second highest social stigma, HIV came in first, ahead of gonorrhea, mental illness, obesity, substance abuse, and cancer.
The conclusion is that the severity of this infection lies in three major facts. One is its increasing percentage of transmission every year. The second one is its relation with incurable HIV and the last and most important one is its incurability itself. All these only indicate that prevention is the best way till date to fight with herpes. So, we can assume that there is no new herpes cure 2016 available till date, right?
Enlightening yourself with awareness, correct information and support on how to effectively defeat herpes is the very first step towards total healing. So make up a strong view and try to understand the root cause behind your sufferings.
Herpes is a kind of infection that results in itchy rashes and cold sores on human body. That was all I knew about it till now. But as I was listening to all this, I realized the importance to be aware of this dangerous infection. It was no more confined to rashes, at least not for me anymore.
There was even more disappointment from the herpes patients’ perspective, as we clearly had answer about herpes cure. Herpes cure seems like so near in 2016 but we are still miles away from achieving the goal. It looks like we are very much close to the end but reality is that it will take some more time for new herpes cure 2016. While talking to him we got to know that although researchers have made serious strides and now better understand the mechanism behind herpes outbreaks, but the bitter truth still remain unchanged.
Some of the recent milestones in the field of new herpes cure 2016 are:
- Under genital herpes vaccine research – scientists from the Louis University Center for Vaccine Development reported in NEJM (New England Journal of Medicine) that an investigational vaccine protected some females against HSV-1, one of two viruses that cause genital herpes. Was it new herpes cure 2016?
- According to lead author Robert Belshe, M.D. “There is some very good news in our findings. We were partially successful against half of the equation – protecting women from genital disease caused by HSV-1. It’s a big step along the path to creating an effective vaccine that protects against genital disease caused by herpes infection. It points us in the direction to work toward making a vaccine that works on both herpes simplex viruses.” New herpes cure 2016 is at least available for women.
But all this is still limited to lab tests and is going to take years to be available for public use. In addition to this tenofovir, an anti-HIV mediation, when formulated as a vaginal gel, was found to reduce herpes simplex infection risk, scientists from the USA, Belgium and Italy reported in the journal Cell Host & Microbe. They explained that when in the vaginal gel formulation, higher concentrations of the drug reach the vaginal cells compared to tenofovir’s orally administered equivalent.
But once again, these are just claims and the use of new herpes cure 2016 for general patients is still far away from us. The only responsible cause of the disease is herpes simplex virus. HSV 2 is the virus usually associated with genital herpes infections and is usually considered to be more severe. Once the virus manages to enter the body somehow, you will have symptoms when it is active, sometimes severe outbreaks and mild attacks the other times. There are some antivirals as well as home remedies for herpes to treat the disease, but all in vein yet.
Primary outbreak is defined as one that occurs in a person who has no prior antibody to herpes simplex virus. This means that they have never had either HSV 1 or HSV 2. Symptoms in these people are sometimes more severe. However, the majority of people experiencing a true primary outbreak have symptoms that they do not recognize as herpes or have no symptoms at all. We can hope to stay safe only if we get new herpes cure 2016.
About half the people with genital herpes experience something known as prodrome. Pro-drome is a set of symptoms that occur before an actual outbreak is present. Itching, tingling, a crawling-under-the skin feeling, pain down the back of the leg or in the buttocks, may all be signs of a recurrence on the way. Some people get the prodromal signs but no recurrence.
Genital herpes can be challenging to diagnose, but an accurate diagnosis is the cornerstone for everything that follows and is absolutely essential. There are three ways in which the diagnosis of herpes can be made. They include physical examination, swab tests, and blood antibody tests. With all three techniques, a careful medical and sexual history adds to accuracy.
What kind of cure we are talking about and wait for is also necessary to understand. There has to be physical healing as well as mental and emotional counseling in new herpes cure 2016 to be considered as holistic cure for the disease. The emotional impact of being diagnosed with genital herpes is often much worse than the condition and it doesn’t deserve the upset it causes. It is important to understand that people who get genital herpes can, and do lead perfectly normal lives. A person may experience a variance of emotions, ranging from disbelieve to anger. This may be especially true for those diagnosed with genital herpes. Feelings of disbelief may morph into feelings of anger or resentment aimed toward the person that may have infected them.
The carrier may then experience sadness and confusion, as well as shame and embarrassment, as the notion of being infected is finally accepted. These are intense emotions which create a great deal of stress in people. So it is also necessary to address all these issues.
Being diagnosed with herpes can often be both confusing and confronting. All we need to cope up with both the feeling. We need to understand what the cause behind this was. From where and how we were caught by this virus?
It is passed from one person to another by close, direct contact. When the virus is present on the surface of the skin of an infected person, it can easily pass on to another person through the moist skin which lines the mouth, anus and genitals. The virus may also pass onto another person through other areas of human skin, as well as the eyes. A human cannot become infected by touching an object, such as a working surface, washbasin, or a towel which has been touched by an infected person. Some of the causes, which results in herpes are:
- Unprotected anal, oral or vaginal sex
- Skin contact
- Intercourse with multiple partners
- Exposure to ultraviolet rays
- Surgery on the genital area
- Touching the blisters or sores
- Direct contact with mucous membranes or saliva of the infected person
- Illness, stress, menstruation, fatigue and surgery also trigger herpes outbreak.
- Herpes virus can also transfer to a new born baby from a herpes infected mother at the time of vaginal delivery.
People who experience an episode of oral or genital herpes should consider themselves infectious from the first symptoms of herpes to the healing of the last herpes ulcer. But this is merely a myth, and the truth behind all this is something else.
Herpes simplex is transmitted by skin to skin contact. .People with herpes can be infectious either at the time of symptoms or sometimes when there are no symptoms present.
When both condoms and antiviral therapy are used, transmission rates can be greatly reduced. Even then, there is a small chance that transmission can occur. Because an infected person may transmit the disease even when he does not have signs of herpes, avoiding sexual contact with someone with active blisters does not guarantee protection against the infection.
The symptoms of genital herpes vary enormously. It can show up as blisters or sores, but it can also just produce a mild rash. And whatever symptoms do appear may be on the thighs, back, fingers, and of course the genitals.
While we desperately wait for a cure, there are drugs and painkillers that can suppress the effect of the reoccurring infections in herpes, there are antivirals that can significantly reduce the frequency of outbreaks, sometimes dropping it to nil.
Generally prescribed antiviral medications approved by FDA are
- Acyclovir: Oldest antiviral medicine available since 1982.
- Valacyclovir: A newer version that efficiently delivers acyclovir into human body.
- Famciclovir: It stops HSV from replicating inside the human body.
These are well approved medications prescribed by every doctor during the herpes infectious attacks but still we are compelled to say that there is no cure for the disease till date. It’s a bitter truth that whatever the doctor prescribes cannot do anything to free your body from virus. Rather it just slows down its working, its intensity and can reduce our time of suffering. Some people don’t get any outbreaks, living their lives with one antiviral medicine daily. But this is not what we call a cure, right!
Significant amount of research is being done in the field of this disease by taking into account its widespread effect. But the state still remains the same as: once the virus enters your body, you can’t get rid of it you can only lower the number of herpes outbreaks you have. The natural cure for herpes can do better than antivirals, but still no permanent effect. Hence, search for new herpes cure 2016.
Research was going on two decades back and it continues to go on. With every coming year our calendar changes dates but we stand far away from actually curing herpes completely.
